Bus shelters open across Fort McMurray, transit returns to full capacity

File photo/Woosh.

Bus shelters have opened across Fort McMurray and buses are operating at full capacity.

While buses are back to full capacity, entry will continue to be from the rear door of the bus.

If you’re using public transit, you’re reminded to follow public health guidelines like maintaining two metres of physical distance or wearing a mask, staying home if you feel sick, washing your hands frequently and refraining from touching your face.

You’re also encouraged to use hand sanitizer with at least 60 per cent alcohol content, as bus shelters are not sanitized.

While some shelters have opened, crews are still working to open others.

If closed signs are in place, you’re asked to respect the closure.

Transit Services will continue running all services on weekend schedules until further notice.

All fares, including rural transit, have been waived to avoid interactions between passengers and drivers.
