You can help honour our region’s first responders and health care heroes on Aug. 29.

The Canadian Mental Health Association is teaming up once again with Wood Buffalo RCMP to host the First Responders Golf Tournament.

The aim of the event is to honour those who serve our community, while raising funds to support mental health initiatives and awareness.

“Beginning with the COVID-19 pandemic, then flooding in April and now the increased awareness of mental health issues surrounding not just first responders, but visible minorities, communities at risk and those feeling marginalized or vulnerable, there has never been a greater demand for mental health services. Now, more than ever, it is vital to support our community.”

The tournament will be held at the Fort McMurray Golf Club with a shotgun start for 144 players at 1:30 p.m.

General Admission registration is $200 and tickets go on sale July 20.

There will be no dinner banquet due to COVID-19.
