Three active COVID-19 cases remain in RMWB

Alberta reported three more recovered cases of COVID-19 among Wood Buffalo’s rural communities.

There are two active cases of the illness and 37 recoveries outside the urban service area.

The province also removed one previously recovered case in Fort McMurray from its official count.

Fort McMurray has one active case and 55 resolved cases of COVID-19.

Across the RMWB, there was a net total of more than 30 recoveries of COVID-19 in the last seven days

Across Alberta, there are 82 new cases, no additional deaths, and 79 recoveries of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Alberta has 704 active cases, 163 deaths, and 8127 recovered cases of the virus.

As many as 64 Albertans remain in hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19, including seven in intensive care.

On July 14, Health officials said 57 per cent of new cases in Alberta are under the age of 40.

30 per cent of those infected were not linked to any known source.
