Municipality announces modified reopening of boat launches

The RMWB announced a modified reopening of Snye Point Park’s boat launches.
Earlier this year, the Municipality closed the launches due to residual environmental impacts from the 2020 Flood.
At a number of Council meetings, Mayor and Councillors remarked at the amount of ice, soot, and debris found in the area.

Only one of the boat launches is available as indicated in the above photo.
Residents should follow posted signage when using the launch.
The Municipality said it will reopen the second boat launch once they address the remaining flood-impacts and completes its environmental assessment.
