Municipal sports fields closed for the weekend

The RMWB announced the temporary closure of all municipal sports fields in Fort McMurray.

This includes all football, soccer, rugby, and cricket fields as well as ball diamonds.

The decision is due to heavy rains compromising field conditions.

All affected fields will reopen July 27, 2020.

Residents who booked a municipal field should contact the RMWB Facility Booking Team to make alternate arrangements or the Pulse Line at (780) 743-7000.

The closures do not impact MacDonald Island Park or other facilities operated by the Regional Recreation Corporation.
