Total COVID-19 cases in Alberta exceeds 10,000

(EDIT: A previous version of this article listed four active cases of COVID-19 in the RMWB on July 24. The Government of Alberta since updated its geospatial map showing five active cases in the region, all outside the urban service area.)

Alberta surpassed 10,000 total cases of COVID-19.

In the province, there are 1341 active cases, 181 deaths, and 8567 recovered cases for a total of 10,085.

There is one new case of COVID-19 in Wood Buffalo, which has a total of five active cases, no deaths, and 95 recoveries.

Fort McMurray’s urban service area has no active cases of COVID-19.

There are 83 Albertans hospitalized with COVID-19, including 13 in intensive care.

Alberta reported at least two deaths from COVID-19 every day this week.

To date, Alberta Health officials completed 623,445 tests.
