In the last 24 hours, there are 133 new cases of the infection, three more deaths, and 97 recovered cases across the province.

Alberta has 1430 active cases, 190 deaths, and 8983 total recoveries.

87 Albertans are in hospital with COVID-19, including 16 in intensive care.

Dr Deena Hinshaw, chief medical officer of health, encouraged Albertans to show off their handmade or unique non-medical masks on social media.

Hinshaw strongly encourages Albertans to wear facemasks when physical distancing in certain places is not possible.

While there is no mandatory order across Alberta, various municipalities and cities like Edmonton enacted bylaws for citizens to wear them inside public buildings.

To date, Alberta Health officials completed 668,226 tests for COVID-19.

Hinshaw will give a live report on COVID-19 response in Alberta on July 30, 2020.
