ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Energizer Holdings Inc. (ENR) on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $29.8 million.
The St. Louis-based company said it had profit of 38 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 50 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 59 cents per share.
The battery and personal care products company posted revenue of $658 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $637.8 million.
Energizer expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.45 to $2.55 per share.
Energizer shares have climbed 5.5% since the beginning of the year.
