A 21-year-old woman has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired causing death following an ATV collision in Fort Chipewyan.
At 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 3, Fort Chipewyan RCMP responded to Mackenzie Avenue where the ATV had collided with a pedestrian.
The driver of the ATV remained at the scene, while the adult male pedestrian was unconscious with serious injuries.
First responders treated the man for his injuries at the scene and then airlifted him to an Edmonton-area hospital.
The man died on Aug. 12 while in hospital.
The woman was released after a judicial hearing and will appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Aug. 19.
