RMWB reports three new cases, one recovered case of COVID-19

Alberta reported three new cases and one recovered case of COVID-19 in the RMWB.

Fort McMurray has one new case of the illness for 14 active cases and 60 recoveries.

According to the province’s online map, there are now seven active and 53 resolved cases of COVID-19 outside the urban service area.

Across the province, there are 85 new cases and three more deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

168 Albertans also recovered from COVID-19.

It is the second straight day Alberta reported less than 100 new cases of the infection in the province.

Health officials completed 7057 tests in that time period with a positivity rate of 1.2 per cent.

Edmonton zone has the most active cases in the province with 401, while the Calgary zone is in second place with 322.

Alberta has 1004 active cases, 216 deaths, and 10,552 recovered cases.

Hospitalization remains low with 62 Albertans receiving treatment, including 14 in intensive care.
