Wood Buffalo continues seeing steady increase in recovered cases of COVID-19

The province reported another recovered case of COVID-19 in the RMWB.

Fort McMurray now has four active cases along with 72 recoveries.

For the second straight day, numbers outside the urban service area remain unchanged with two active cases and 58 resolved cases of COVID-19.

In the last three daily reports, Wood Buffalo saw one new case and seven recovered cases of the illness.

To date, there are no deaths linked to COVID-19 in the region.

In the last 24 hours, Alberta also reported 82 new cases, 142 recoveries, and two additional deaths linked to COVID-19 across the province.

48 Albertans are in hospital with 12 in intensive care.

Alberta has 1107 active cases, 227 deaths, and 11,167 recovered cases of COVID-19.

Edmonton zone has the highest number of active cases with 631 or 57 per cent of the province’s total.
