Two additional cases of COVID-19 surface in Fort McMurray

The province reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the RMWB.

Both new cases are in Fort McMurray, which has eight active cases and 72 recoveries.

Alberta corrected a previous report listing one active and 59 recoveries outside the urban service area.

It determined one previous case in the region did not recover from COVID-19.

There are now two active cases and 58 recovered cases among Wood Buffalo’s rural hamlets.

In the last 24 hours, Alberta also reported 144 new cases and two additional deaths linked to COVID-19 across the province.

43 Albertans are in hospital with nine in intensive care.

Alberta has 1144 active cases, 230 deaths, and 11,374 recovered cases of COVID-19.
