Alberta reports more new COVID-19 cases in Fort McMurray

Alberta reported four new cases and one recovery of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray.

There are 21 active cases of the illness and 77 recoveries within the urban service area.

Since Aug. 25, Fort McMurray recorded 12 new cases and three recoveries of COVID-19.

For the fourth straight day, there are no active cases of COVID-19 outside the urban service area.

In the last 24 hours, there were 158 new cases of COVID-19 and no deaths across Alberta.

131 Albertans recovered from the illness in that timespan.

Alberta has 1185 active cases, 237 deaths, and 12,054 resolved cases of COVID-19.

44 Albertans are currently in hospital receiving treatment with seven in intensive care.

Staggered school re-entry begins Aug. 31, 2020, across the province.
