Inter’s supervisor of Corporate Communications Steven Noble said the company appreciates residents’ ongoing cooperation in avoiding the area.

“Inter Pipeline’s priorities continue to be protecting the community, environment and wildlife as these containment and clean-up activities proceed. Snow fencing has been installed around the perimeter to deter wildlife. While there may be a noticeable odour in the area, please note there is no risk to public safety or waterways.”

Noble said Inter will provide updates as the situation develops and work cooperatively with regulators.
