The province listed the hospital under the AHS North Zone’s acute care facilities tab on its website.

“Locations of outbreaks in acute care and continuing care facilities are reported publicly when there are two or more cases, indicating that transmission within the facility has occurred. Outbreaks at other facilities or in the community are reported publicly when there are five or more cases.”

As of Sept. 2, there are 174 active cases of COVID-19 within the North Zone, including eight in area hospitals.

None of those admitted to hospitals is in intensive care.

Dr Deena Hinshaw, chief medical officer of health, said previously a COVID-19 outbreak is declared over when four weeks pass with no new cases.

She will provide a further update on Sept. 4, 2020.
