Police patrolling “stay-cation” campsites this long weekend

Wood Buffalo RCMP said they will conduct Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) enforcement patrols on the Fort Chipewyan Winter Road.

Patrols will run from the Winter Road to the Athabasca Sand Dunes, which include campsites around Six Lakes, Net Lake, and other sites.

Police said many residents in the region plan on holding “stay-cations” due to travel restrictions and concerns related to Covid-19.
