Deputy CAO Matthew Hough said the administration will present to RMWB Council an updated report on flood mitigation options, which includes community feedback.

“We listened to residents over the summer. It became clear that there were many different opinions and that we weren’t going to land on a one-size-fits-all solution.”

Mayor and Councillor will also hear another report on infrastructure performance during the 2020 Flood.

Hough encourages residents to tune in on Sept. 15.

Residents may also speak to this issue by registering as a delegate with Legislative Services before Sept. 14 at noon.

The review titled “Flood Risk: A Community Conversation Engagement Report for the period July 29 – Sept. 1, 2020” is available on the Municipality’s website.

It covers the goals of the engagement sessions and lists the tools and methods to obtain feedback from the public.
