Alberta included Earls Kitchen and Bar in downtown Fort McMurray on its list of COVID-19 outbreak locations.

This comes as Alberta reported one recovery of COVID-19 in its daily report.

Alberta previously had Suncor’s Base Plant, and Syncrude’s Mildred Lake and Aurora sites on its COVID-19 watch list.

According to the province, there is a process for reporting outbreaks outside of medical or long-term care settings.

“Outbreaks at other facilities or in the community are reported publicly when there are five or more cases. Outbreaks are declared over when four weeks have passed with no new cases, so not all outbreaks listed have current transmission happening.”

Earls first reported ties to a case of COVID-19 on Aug. 31, 2020.

Earls Kitchen and Bar is on Morrison Street.
