Officer involved in arrest of ACFN Chief Allan Adam has separate charges withdrawn
An officer who was involved in the violent arrest of Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) Chief Allan Adam, has had separate charges withdrawn by the court.

Constable Simon Seguin appeared in Fort McMurray Provincial Court via telephone on Sept. 30 to address charges of assault, mischief and unlawfully being in a dwelling home.

The charges stemmed from an incident from Aug. 5, 2019, in which Seguin was off-duty.
Seguin, who now lives in the Edmonton area, entered a peace bond with several conditions including a $1,000 cash deposit.
He will also attend a minimum nine counselling sessions for mental health and domestic violence, and complete 50 hours of community service on or before July 2021.
Part of the peace bond also includes having no contact with the complainant, except during legal counsel.
Back in June dashcam footage was released from an incident in March showing Seguin tackling Adam outside of Boomtown Casino.

The incident led police to charge Adam with resisting arrest and assaulting a peace officer.
Later that month Crown prosecutors dropped the charges.
