The RCMP Major Crimes Unit announced it took over an investigation into a fatal hit and run collision in Fort Chipewyan.
On Sept. 19 at 3:50 a.m., RCMP responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian on Airport Road.
Emergency personnel located an adult male with serious life-threatening injuries and transported him to the health centre.
Once at the hospital, they would later pronounce him deceased.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the vehicle involved in the collision to come forward.
