Alberta reported eight new cases and eight recovered cases of COVID-19 in the RMWB, including seven recoveries in Fort McMurray.
There are 46 active cases, one death, and 223 resolved cases of the illness inside the urban service area.
Outside the urban service area, there are three active cases and 64 recovered cases of COVID-19.

Chief medical officer of health, Dr Deena Hinshaw provided another live update remotely.
Across Alberta, there are 173 new cases, 157 recoveries, and two additional deaths of COVID-19.
Positivity rates remain consistent at 1.17 per cent with 14,678 tests completed in the last 24 hours.
To date, health officials conducted 1,365,496 tests.
Hinshaw recommended all Albertans to take their flu vaccination.
The province’s flu program begins on Oct. 19, 2020.

Hinshaw provided an update on the outbreak situation at Calgary’s Foothills Hospital.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) has confirmed another death linked to the COVID-19 outbreak at Foothills Hospital.
Hinshaw said AHS will add this death to the COVID-19 website on Oct. 2.
That brings the total number of deaths to five since the outbreak was declared last month.
AHS also said 35 patients and 29 health care workers have tested positive for the virus so far.

The number of health care workers in isolation has increased to nearly 300.
Visitation at the hospital is still restricted to end-of-life situations or pre-approved essential visitors only.
AHS said contact tracing continues and enhanced screening measures among patients and health care workers are in place.
Alberta has 1596 active cases, 269 deaths, and 16,370 recovered cases of COVID-19.
64 Albertans are in hospital with 12 in intensive care.
