Nitotem the Lynx is the winning submission out of more than 40 entries in the spring 2020 mascot design contest.

Kim Rizzi, General Manager of the 2022 Wood Buffalo Arctic Winter Games, said Nitotem is important to both the leadup and during the Games.

“I am very proud of the Mascot design Sadie [Antoine] created and how it was brought to life by our dedicated team. We look forward to seeing Nitotem at events around the region sharing his excitement for the Games.”
