Alberta Real Estate Association has marked the lowest September inventory since 2001.

In its monthly report the association said there were only 381 units across Fort McMurray, Anzac, Gregoire Lake, and Saprae Creek.

Of those 381 units, 124 were new listings in September.

The report also noted sales activity has generally slowed in the area, except for homes priced between $200,000-$299,999 and $400,000-$499,999.

Prices continue to be lower than last year’s levels, with the exception of Mobile with Land properties which saw a 16 per cent increase in average price year-over-year.

Those properties averaged $260,585 in September.

The average sale price for a single-family detached home was $482,006.
