The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce has postponed its annual awards ceremony.
Executive Director of the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce Dianna de Sousa said the decision was made due to the “extraordinary” year we’ve had.
She said the economy, flood and COVID-19 have given the Chamber of Commerce a chance to focus on serving their members.
The event has been postponed, rather than made virtual, with the intention of planning an in-person event in 2021.
The awards ceremony recognizes businesses and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and contribution to the region while having developed business acumen and management practices to ensure long-term sustainability.
