The government of Alberta granted Keyano College approval to safely reopen to international students.

Both provincial and federal governments included Keyano on the list of Designated Learning Institutions (DLI), which they submitted it to Canada’s Public Health Agency.

They determined the post-secondary school equipped and ready with a COVID-19 pandemic response plan.

Students Services Director Sandra Efu thanked Keyano for its work behind the scenes to obtain the approval.

“It would take me days to explain the amount of effort our group put in to receive this approval from the Government of Alberta. This allows Keyano College to be one of the DLIs able to continue to serve our international students, a huge part of what makes Keyano great.”

On Sept. 29, Keyano College signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ambassador of Gabon to Canada.
