The United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo’s Really Really Really Big Christmas Cash Draw has kicked off.
The first ever draw has been added to supplement the 2020 Community Campaign to help raise funds for local programs and initiatives.
Those programs and initiatives fall under the pillars of Healthy People, Strong Communities, Poverty to Possibility, and All That Kids Can Be, which focus on moving people out of poverty, helping kids reach their potential, and ensuring our community and residents are strong, resilient, connected and supported.
Craig Picton, 2020 Community Campaign Chair said those who rely on the United Way’s services, need those supports now more than ever.
“This draw is a chance for purchasers to win some cash for the holidays while also ensuring vital social supports remain available in Wood Buffalo.”
Tickets for the jackpot of up to $150,000 are on sale until Dec. 10.
There is also an early bird draw of $10,000 for those who buy tickets before Nov. 10.
One ticket is $20, 10 tickets are $50, and 50 tickets are $100.
