Alberta provided a four-day report on its COVID-19 response.
Its reporting service underwent maintenance on Nov. 2, 2020.
In the last four days, the province reported 32 new cases and 21 recoveries of COVID-19 in the RMWB.
Across Alberta, there are 62 active cases, including 55 in Fort McMurray, along with one death and 393 recoveries of the infection.
CNRL’s Horizon, Suncor’s Base Plant, and Syncrude’s Mildred Lake site remain on Alberta’s list of COVID-19 outbreak locations.
One week since the RMWB enacted the Face Covering Bylaw, the region had 43 new cases and 31 recovered cases.
Dr Deena Hinshaw, chief medical officer of health, said the positivity rate is 6.8 per cent and almost nine per cent in the Edmonton Zone.
Alberta picked up a total of 2268 new cases of COVID-19 in those four days.
That’s the largest number of new cases in one four-day report since the start of the pandemic.
On Oct. 30, the province reported 581 cases, 525 on Oct. 31, 592 on Nov. 1, and 570 on Nov. 2.
15 Albertans also died of COVID-19 during that time.

167 Albertans are in hospital receiving treatment across the province with 27 in intensive care.
The majority of ICU cases are in the Edmonton Zone, which has 2581 active cases.
Hinshaw spoke about the increase in COVID-19 cases in Edmonton and Calgary as both cities have at least 2500 cases.
1315 Albertans recovered from the virus in the last four days.
Hinshaw also provided an update on Alberta’s COVID-19 app and the federal app.
Hinshaw says AB app is connected to contact tracing system.
Adds that apps will have most impact when people choose to use the apps.
Says apps won’t save us, only part of solution, adds health measures remain the key.
