The province is reporting 101 active cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray.

An additional three cases are outside the urban service area.

This is the first update for our region since Nov. 3.

The Nov. 3 update included 58 active cases in Fort McMurray and five outside the urban service area.

Provincially, there were 644 new cases announced Monday.

Over the weekend the province reported over 1,600 new cases of the virus, including a record high 919 new cases on Saturday.

CNRL Horizon, Suncor Firebag and Base Plant, and Syncrude Mildred Lake site remain on Alberta’s list of outbreaks.

On Friday, Premier Jason Kenney announced that communities on the province’s watch list are now limited to 15-person gatherings whether they are indoor or outdoor. That includes the RMWB.

The limit does not include seated audience conferences, dining in restaurants, fitness centres, funeral services, wedding ceremonies, and worship services.
