Police arrest man for 2018 break and enters in Gregoire Lake Reserve and Anzac

Wood Buffalo RCMP have arrested a man in relation to multiple break and enters in 2018.

On Dec. 3, 2018 around 3 a.m., police responded to reports of break and enters, along with thefts in the areas of Gregoire Lake Reserve and Anzac.

The suspect, now identified as Billy Thompson Cardinal, 25, allegedly broke into a business in Gregoire Lake Reserve and stole several items including a flat deck Dodge Ram.

Not long after, RCMP received an alarm coming from the local gas station in Anzac.

The stolen truck was seen on surveillance backing into the store, breaking the front entry and surrounding windows.

Cardinal was arrested on Nov. 5, 2020 and is facing several charges related to break and enter, mischief and theft.

He was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 16.
