Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested a 40-year-old woman on allegations of an armed robbery in Timberlea.

On Nov. 25, at 4:00 p.m., police responded to a business on Millenium Drive between Confederation Way and Powder Drive.

According to the police report, a female suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot.

There were no injuries.

As an RCMP officer obtained a description of the suspect from an employee, another located and identified her as 40-year-old Tina Louise Lewis.

Lewis was the driver and lone occupant in a vehicle approaching a residence on Beaton Place.

Police arrested Lewis and charged her with robbery, possession of property obtained by crime, and intent to commit an indictable offence while disguised.

Lewis remains in custody following a hearing on Nov. 26, and will next appear in court on Dec. 7, 2020.
