COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Alberta with 1,460 reported Wednesday

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – The province is reporting another 1,460 new cases of COVID-19 in Alberta Wednesday.

There are 20,199 active cases of the virus throughout the province, the Calgary zone currently has 7,490, while the Edmonton zone has 9,289.

This comes as 15 more people have died due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 653.

Alberta hospitals are treating 685 patients, with 121 of them in the ICU.

As of Wednesday afternoon, 52, 636 people have recovered from COVID-19.
