EDMONTON – A 20-year-old Camrose man has been arrested and charged with child porn offences following an investigation by Cameose police and Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s (ALERT) Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.
ICE detectives believe that the suspect distributed child sex abuse materials in an online chat group last year.
Mounties became aware of the child porn and forwarded the investigation to ICE.
The 20-year-old was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with possessing and distributing child porn.
ICE says the investigation is still ongoing and detectives are going through computers and other electronic devices found at the suspect’s home.
