Powell Infinity announces a five-year agreement with Suncor

FORT MCMURRAY (660 NEWS) – Powell Infinity Corporation, a newly formed joint venture between Powell Canada Inc. and Infinity Metis Corporation, has secured a five-year valve sourcing and servicing contract with Suncor across the Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo region.

In a release, a spokesperson says this long-term relationship will increase Métis economic development while also offering valuable employment and training opportunities for members of the Metis community.

Mike MacSween, executive vice president with Suncor says “We’re proud of this partnership and for the opportunity it presents for our regional operations and the ongoing development of our neighbouring Indigenous communities.”

Eric de Kappelle, president of Powell Infinity Corporation says “We are extremely pleased that Suncor has chosen Powell Infinity Corporation as a supplier in light of the benefits that this will yield for the community.”

Shawn Myers, general manager of Infinity Metis Corp. agrees, saying “This five-year contract between Suncor and Powell Infinity Corporation represents another positive milestone for Infinity Metis Corp and allows us to work towards our goals for the Fort McMurray Metis community.”
