FORT MCMURRAY (660NEWS) — Disturbing charges have been laid against a couple in Fort McMurray, accused of sexually assaulting an infant child.
Andrew Wall, 41, and Marlena Bennett, 33, were arrested on Feb. 26 and charged with sexaul assault, sexual interference and bestiality.
Police said the arrest was made after searching the couple’s computers and electronic devices.
The devices were previously seized last October when the couple was being investigated for child pornography.
“When the couple’s electronic devices were analyzed, ICE uncovered very troubling, disturbing evidence of a young child being sexually assaulted,” said Staff Sgt. Mike Zaparyniuk. “ICE has strong reason to believe this may not be the only instance and we’re exploring the possibility of other young children that were left in the couple’s care as being victimized.”
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to call Wood Buffalo RCMP.
