FORT MCMURRAY (660 NEWS) – The 33rd annual Spring Fling fundraiser for the Northern Lights Health Foundation was a huge success.

The event, presented by Syncrude, took place virtually this past weekend and featured a hologram appearance by The Tuccaro Group owner and CEO Dave Tuccaro. Photos from previous Health Foundation events were featured and attendees learned how to create the Spring Fling signature cocktail.

Videos also showcased how funds from the Northern Lights Health Foundation have been used and the impact that has been had in the region.

“This public generosity has led to major systems improvements at the hospital, in patient care and safety, in increased access to services, and in ensuring the facility has leading edge surgery, medication management, and patient spaces,” reads a press release.

The Spring Fling managed to bring in $145,000 for local healthcare initiatives.

“Healthcare is for everyone and it takes a collaborative effort to support each other to create the healthy lives we all want,” said Cindy Amerongen, Executive Director of the Northern Lights Health Foundation. “We can’t begin to adequately thank the sponsors, service providers, and volunteers who helped bring this event together. Together we are stronger, more innovative, more responsive, and more able to support our local healthcare teams to do the tough and compassionate work they do every day.”
