Two Fort Mac residents facing charges in relation to drug trafficking

FORT MCMURRAY (660 NEWS) – Two Fort McMurray residents are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation earlier this week.

On Wednesday, April 28, the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section and the Crime Reduction Unit responded to an area in downtown Fort McMurray.

What is believed to be fentanyl, Percocet pills, and an undisclosed amount of cash was seized and two people were arrested.

Richard Bruce Thompson, 33, faces the following charges:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Trafficking Percocet
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking Percocet
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Fail to comply with condition of release

 

Pearl Edna Deltess, 32, faces the following charges:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Trafficking Percocet
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

 

RCMP say both accused have since been released from custody and are due to make an appearance in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on May 25.
