BANFF — Banff is the latest location to announce their mask mandate will end Thursday as the province enters Stage 3 of reopening.

Town Council met Wednesday morning to vote on the proposal.

Due to the popularity of the town, and how busy it can get with out-of-town visitors, it had different rules than other areas of the province — which included masking requirements outdoors on certain busy streets as well as inside buildings.

Calgary is set to be the only part of Alberta to still require masks indoors after Stage 3 begins.

Calgary City Council is set to meet on Monday to discuss the mask mandate further.
