Alberta identifies 44 new COVID-19 cases, active infections down to 831

CALGARY — Alberta identified 44 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The new cases come after the completion of 4,263 tests — a positivity rate of one per cent.

Active infections continue to fall — now at 831.

As for hospitalizations in Alberta, there are now 136 people in hospital, 32 of which are in the ICU.

Two additional deaths were reported on Monday.

Alberta has now administered nearly 4.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

To date, 73.4 per cent of the eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 48.4 per cent have now been fully vaccinated.
