CALGARY — Alberta identified 41 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. The new cases come after the completion of more than 6,300 tests.
There are now 579 active cases of the virus in the province.

As for hospitalizations, there are now 110 people in hospital, an increase of three from Thursday, with 28 people now in the ICU.
Two additional deaths were reported on Friday.
Alberta administered 31,664 vaccine doses over the last day, 3,452 of which were first dose appointments.
To date, 74.5 per cent of the province has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with nearly 60 per cent now fully vaccinated.
