CALGARY — Alberta has identified 134 new COVID-19 cases on 5,428 tests, a positivity rate of around 2.5 per cent.
Active infections in the province also rose by 90, now at 1,173.

Though cases continue to rise in Alberta, hospitalizations remain on the decline.
There are now 82 people in hospital with COVID-19, a decrease of one from Monday, with 21 people in the ICU.
Three new deaths were reported on Tuesday.

As for vaccinations, nearly 19,000 doses were administered over the last day, roughly 16,000 of which were second dose appointments.
To date, 75.5 per cent of the eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 63.9 per cent are now fully vaccinated.
More than 5.24 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have now been administered in Alberta.
