Alberta identifies 392 new COVID-19 cases, active cases rise to 5,354
CALGARY — Alberta reported 392 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday after 5,328 tests were completed.
The province also releasing the COVID numbers for the weekend, for a total of 1,407 new infections over the last three days.
The weekend breakdown is as follows:

- 564 new cases identified on Friday
- 451 new cases identified on Saturday
- 392 new cases identified on Sunday

– 161 in hospital (+9), 43 in ICU (+6)

In total, more than 20,000 tests were completed over the weekend — a positivity rate of around seven per cent.
There are now 5,354 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, an increase of 916 from Friday’s report.
Hospitalizations increased to 161, with 43 people now in the ICU.
One additional death was reported on Monday.

As for vaccinations, more than 5.44 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Alberta.
As of Monday afternoon, 76.8 per cent of eligible Albertans have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 67.9 per cent are now fully vaccinated.
