STONEY NAKODA — The RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been called in to investigate the death of a six-month-old infant on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation.
RCMP were called to a home on Monday around 6:30 p.m. to do a welfare check on the child. Once inside the home, police found the infant dead.
Following an autopsy on Thursday, the manner of death has been deemed a homicide.
The Major Crimes Unit has now taken over the investigation.
RCMP say no further information is being provided at this time.
