FORT MCMURRAY — On Thursday, Albertans will have the chance to win up to $500,000 while supporting Fort McMurray’s frontline charities.
Tickets for the WOW! Impact 50/50 Raffle will be on sale Sept. 9 for one day only.
The goal is to sell $1 million worth of raffle tickets that will direct 50 per cent of the proceeds to several Fort McMurray charities, including The Northern Lights Health Foundation, Local HERO Foundation and Friends of the Fort McMurray Firefighter Charities Funds Society.
“We have come together to offer a $1 million dollar 50/50 raffle to Albertans where 50% of the proceeds will fund vital health, safety, and emergency response initiatives in our region with the services offered by these organizations, more in demand than ever,” said Cindy Amerongen, Executive Director of the Health Foundation.
Tickets are $10 each or four for $20.
The winner will take home half of ticket sales, up to $500,000.
