Alberta voter turnout above national average

CALGARY – Voter turnout for the federal election in Alberta was above the national average.

Nationally, a little over 58 per cent of people cast a ballot. In Alberta, nearly 62 per cent of people voted.

The numbers vary slightly between Edmonton and Calgary.

Sixty-one per cent of Calgarians and 62 per cent of Edmontonians voted in the federal election.
