EDMONTON – Alberta’s chief medical officer of health will give a live COVID-19 update Thursday afternoon.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw’s live updates have become more frequent in the last two weeks with surging caseloads.

Alberta’s hospitalization rate has continued to climb dramatically, with so many people in the ICU that doctors and nurses say the healthcare system is on the verge of collapse.
