CALGARY – If you put it off for too long, you may have a difficult time tracking down a set of winter tires this year.
The industry is experiencing shortages due to pandemic-related shut-downs and supply chain disruptions.
Alex Earl with Kal Tire says they’re lucky to be in a pretty good position.
“We don’t envision any major events but that’s because we have the ability to buy so much well in advance with our warehouse,” Earl said.
“There might be some shortages and some, you know, unique sizes, different sizes but as long as people have a little bit of flexibility we can certainly help them out.”
Earl says now is a great time to make an appointment to get your winter tires on, instead of after the first big snowfall of the year when most people start booking.
