FORT MCMURRAY – Wood Buffalo residents will be able to take in the Santa Claus Parade again this holiday season from the comfort of their own vehicles.
Just like last year, the parade will return in 2021 as a drive-thru version.
It takes place at MacDonald Island Park on Saturday, December 4 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday, December 5 from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Float registration is open until November 19 and local businesses, social and other community groups are encouraged to participate.
The theme this year will be ‘Holiday Movies’ so you can look forward to seeing some of your favourite Christmas classics come to life as part of the Santa Claus Parade.
Drive-thru parade attendees will need to pre-register for a time slot, with registration starting online on November 26.
New this year is sensory-friendly time slots 30 minutes prior to the general opening time each day that will include minimized lights and sounds.
