Ahead of the weekend, Alberta is seeing another decline in cases of COVID-19.
Over the last 24 hours, 412 new cases of the virus were reported after 8,673 tests for a positivity rate of around 4.8 per cent.

As of Friday afternoon, there are now 5,293 active infections in Alberta — a 91 case decrease from Thursday.
As active infections continue to fall, so too do hospitalization numbers.
There are now 496 people in hospital with COVID, 93 of which are in the ICU.

Alberta Health also reporting on Friday, two more people have died with COVID-19 in the province.
As for vaccination numbers, more than 6.77 million doses of COVID-19 have been administered to date in Alberta.
Of those 12 and older, 88.2 per cent have received at least one dose, while 82.8 per cent are now fully immunized.
