After a few days of seeing slight rises in active COVID-19 case counts in Alberta, the province saw another dip on Thursday.
There were 379 new cases of the virus identified on more than 9,000 tests, for a positivity rate of around 3.9 per cent.
The active cases count in the province dipped to 4,969 — a 64 case drop from Wednesday.

Hospitalizations are also on the decline.
There are now 465 people in hospital with COVID-19, a five patient decrease from Wednesday. Of those in hospital, 98 are in the ICU.
Alberta Health also reporting on Thursday that one additional death has been reported in the last 24 hours.
Pediatric vaccine appointments begin Friday
This all comes as Albertans aged five to 11 prepare to get their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Appointment bookings went live on Wednesday morning, with the first appointments set for Friday.
As of Thursday morning, more than 55,000 kids have been booked in to get their shot.

Vaccinations will take place across 120 AHS clinics and four pharmacies in the province where there are no nearby AHS clinics.
Nearly 400,000 pediatric Pfizer vaccine doses of vaccine arrived in Alberta on Tuesday. There are 391,000 children in the province eligible to get their COVID-19 shot.
As for current vaccination numbers in Alberta, more than 6.82 million doses have been administered to date.
Of those 12 and older in the province, 88.5 per cent have received at least one shot, while 83.5 per cent are fully immunized.
