Advance polls open ahead of March 15 Fort McMurray - Lac La Biche by-election

FORT MCMURRAY – Voters in Fort McMurray – Lac La Biche can cast an early ballot ahead of the March 15 by-election.

The by-election is needed as former MLA Laila Goodridge resigned to successfully run for the Conservative Party in last Fall’s federal election.

Fort McMurray residents can vote at Shell Place between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily until March 12. The same dates and times apply to the Bold Center Community Hall in Lac La Biche.

Other advance poll dates and locations in Wood Buffalo include the Anzac Recreation Centre on Wednesday, March 9 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., the Conklin Multiplex on Thursday March 10 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., and the Janvier Municipal Office on Friday, March 11 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Electors can visit the Elections Alberta website and use the “Where Do I Vote” tool to see where to cast a ballot and to register, if necessary.
